| This bird is the first known record of the species for the Madeira archipelago, which was photographed off Ponta de Calheta (Porto Santo) on 9th July 2006. Seen on several occasions and most probably the same bird was seen flying towards east off Praia Formosa (located c.5 kms west of Funchal, Madeira) early morning 25th.
