Transparent utfyllnad Ponta de São Lourenço
The peninsula Ponta de São Lourenço, which stretch towards north-east. The climate and biotope similar to that of the Desertas Islands; hot and dry! In the middle of the pic the Natural Park's field station is visible. Photo: Niklas Holmström, Sweden.

The walk both ways take about 2-3 hours, but is indeed worth the time as the views is amazing and breath-taking.

Along the north-side of the peninsula there is several islets and very steep cliffs. Just take it easy and enjoy the walk!

The dry biotope attract bird species such as Rock Sparrows, Buzzards and many passage migrants!

During spring the north-easterly peninsula function as a "tunnel" for passage migrants. Never know what to find here!
