I suggest that you establish contact directly to other birders who will visit Madeira during the same period as yourself, and exchanging phone numbers by e-mail. The only reason why I don't wish to add any mobile phone numbers anymore to this webpage is because of it lends itself to abuse by non-birders and companies sending you offers and so on. Also, each e-mail address on this webpage (which is the case for the whole website) are encrypted to avoid SPAM.
»	18–25th August: Ulf Ståhle & Ingar Olsson, Peter & Birgitta Bjurenstål (Sweden) will visit Madeira for a combined holiday. E-mail: Ulf Ståhle Itinerary info: We stay all time at Recidencial Calhau in Porto Moniz for seawatching, but at noon we will explore the island here and there. On 20th we will try to see or hear the Zino's Petrel at their breeding place at "Pico do Areeiro". On 22nd we have booked a trip with Ventura do Mar to Desertas.
»	18–25th August: Ken Tucker (UK) will visit Madeira for a combined holiday. E-mail: Ken Tucker Itinerary info: I am an English birder visiting Madeira with my partner on 18th-25th August. We will be staying in the Funchal area and doing some sea-watching from Ponta da Cruz as well as general birding around the island. I have booked to do a Zino's trip on 20th and a Desertas trip on 22nd, both with Ventura do Mar.
»	9–16th September: Janne Aalto (Finland) will visit Madeira for a combined holiday. E-mail: Janne Aalto Itinerary info: We are two birders coming from Finland to Madeira on 9th of September and staying for a week. We would be very interested to join that kind of pelagic trip to Desertas where it's possible to spent a night in or near the island. We are (me and my wife) keen Western Palearctic bird twitchers and we really would like to have an opportunity to see or at least hear Madeiran Storm-Petrels (with all the more common seabirds) during the trip and I think this would be the best way to succeed. We are stayng in Residencial Calhau in Porto Moniz and our main target for the trip is to try to see migrating shearwaters, but of course we are going to see all the endemics too. We are going to try to see or hear also Zino's and we know Hugo Romano from MadeiraWindBirds so we're probably going there with him.

E-mail: Istvan Katona Itinerary info: First of all, congratulations for your excellent work on these seawatching pages! The appetite stimulating homepage on Madeira was a key reason for me and my wife to select Madeira as summer holiday destination this year. We will be there between 9th-21st of September. We are really looking forward to seawatch from Porto Moniz, we really hope to become lucky enough to catch one of those famous days with thousands of migrating Great Shearwaters!
